A SLINGSHOT PRODUCT

Built by Slingshot — the studio behind Taqassi and Signal — for the universities, hubs, and programs powering the region's innovation calendar.

The lifecycle

Five stages.
One straight line.

Every hackathon follows the same arc. Hackathon puts the whole arc on rails — so your team runs the event, not the spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Register

A branded page and form builder that fills itself with applicants.

  2. 02

    Select

Review, shortlist, and accept with AI-assisted screening.

  3. 03

    Build

Teams, mentors, checkpoints — watch every day's progress live.

  4. 04

    Judge

    Rubrics, fair scoring, normalized results.

  5. 05

    Celebrate

Winners page, certificates, and the full story in numbers.

Features

Everything an organizer
juggles — in one place.

Eight tools that usually live in eight tabs, wired together so the data flows from the first form to the final certificate.

Form builder

Drag-in fields, bilingual labels, and file uploads — a registration form that matches your brand.

Selection pipeline

Statuses, bulk actions, and AI summaries move a thousand applications in an afternoon.

Team formation

Invite codes, a looking-for-team pool, and one-click roster moves when plans change.

QR check-in

Scan badges at the door and watch the counter climb in real time.

Day-by-day checkpoints

Teams self-report progress; organizers see the whole event as a live heatmap.

Mentor office hours

Bookable slots, request queues, and private mentor notes on every team.

Judging & rubrics

Weighted criteria, conflict flags, and score normalization across judges.

Certificates & analytics

One click issues verifiable certificates; the funnel tells the story in numbers.

FAQ

Fair questions,
straight answers.

Yes. During early access every feature is free — no credit card, no caps enforced, no trial clock. When paid plans launch, workspaces created during early access keep founder pricing, and we'll give you plenty of notice before anything changes.

Fully. Every participant, mentor, and judge surface ships in English and Arabic with true right-to-left layout — mirrored navigation, forms, and dates, not a machine-translated skin. Organizers can publish event pages, announcements, and certificates in both languages side by side.

Both, plus fully onsite. QR check-in covers the door, while checkpoints, submissions, mentor bookings, and judging all work from any browser — so a remote team and a team in the hall follow the exact same flow.

On Slingshot infrastructure. Each organization's data lives in its own isolated workspace, is backed up daily, and can be exported as CSV at any time — registrations, teams, scores, and check-ins are always yours to take.

Every round uses weighted rubrics so judges score against the same criteria. Scores are then normalized across judges — a strict judge and a generous judge end up comparable — and conflict-of-interest flags exclude a judge's score from any team they're connected to. Organizers see both raw and normalized results.

Custom branding — your logo, colors, and cover on every event page — is built in today. Full white-label, with your own domain and no Slingshot badge, is part of the Enterprise tier. If you need it for an upcoming event, tell us in the form below and we'll work something out.
